Assistant Site Manager

Job description / Role

WTS Energy is looking for an Emirati Assistant Site Manager to work for a permanent role in Dubai. The client is a national oil company.

The assistant site manager is responsible for his shift’s job activities for testing & registration operations. He is also responsible for the maintenance of outstanding customer service, superior site image and efficient staff supervision in his shift.

Principal Accountabilities

Assisting in Site Management/Supervision
- Responsibility, in conjunction with the Site Manager, for the achievement of sales targets through profit generation, expense control and the maintenance of site image standards, to company requirements.

Customer Service
- By example and training ensure that outstanding customer service is maintained at all times by all the staff in his shift and in each facet of site operations. Handles all customer complaints, in his shift, in a professional and courteous manner.

Site Image
- Ensure that the site maintains an excellent image for customers through delegation to and supervision of all staff to achieve company standards of cleanliness and hygiene and in all areas. Makes sure that vehicle owners do not overcrowd the test-bays or the waiting hall and monitors the counter staff’s performance on a regular basis.

Administrative Responsibilities - ASM, in his shift, is responsible for:
- Development and maintenance of staff rosters, time sheets and personnel records as required by HO.
- Preparation of daily Sales statements and cash covers for collection.
- Compilation of daily collected fees report for his shift.
- Inter-site visits and visits to Tasjeel Head Office for weekly meetings and QMS meetings, when required
- Along with the Site Manager, visit fleet Customer offices, if required, to garner business and generate PR in conjunction with Sales Manager and Marketing Manager.

Financial Management - In conjunction with the Site Manager:
- Analyze the Monthly Sales and Income Report from HO.
- Monitor all expenses relating to site operations to ensure these remain within Budget limits.

Operation & Maintenance
- Ensure that all staff are fully conversant with safety matters and procedures arising from the site operations.
- Ensure that all staff are fully conversant with the operation of equipment
- Ensure that the company maintenance procedures with respect to test equipment are complied with and the records of such maintenance are maintained.
- Ensure that all preventive maintenance as laid down by equipment manufacturers is adhered to by all shift staff.

Staff Supervision
- Responsible for the supervision and guidance to all site staff to ensure that outstanding levels of customer service are maintained at all times.
- Preparation of effective staff duty rosters for each area of staff operation.
- Along with Site Manager, set realistic individual and group performance targets and monitors achievement of the same.
- Provides on the job guidance and training to existing staff to ensure corporate standards are maintained. Provides on the job training to new staff to ensure that they meet the required standards.

Requirements

- Should have Diploma or certificate in Automotive Engineering or management.
- Having a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken Arabic and English.
- Fully IT Literate
