Job description / Role
A leading international law firm active in the Middle East and GCC for over 25 years, seeks a mid-level to senior commercial lawyer to support its expanding and varied commercial/projects practice based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The firm’s expanding commercial/projects team boasts a broad client base and handles a vast range of commercial/projects matters for clients across a number of key sectors. You should be comfortable advising on general commercial contract issues and handling varied transactional matters. Experience with corporate/project finance, mergers and acquisitions, investments, joint ventures, asset acquisitions/sales and restructuring will also be desirable. You will be an ambitious solicitor and have an enthusiasm for commercial/projects work, and be open to applying your knowledge and skills across a full spectrum of transactional matters.
As a member of this team you will work closely with partners and other associates, advising regional and international clients from varied sectors and industries.
The firm has a strong entrepreneurial ethos and will support the successful candidate in expanding the firm’s global client base, requiring confident marketing and networking skills.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have a strong academic, training and professional record, be common law qualified (UK, Australia or New Zealand preferred), and have at least four years PQE of relevant general commercial/projects experience gained within a top-tier law firm. You should possess excellent legal analysis, drafting and communication skills, both verbal and written (English language).
Creativity and thinking “outside the box” are encouraged. This role is well suited to a dynamic, solutions-orientated individual who is able to interact confidently and effectively with clients, prioritise work and display versatility. Some experience of working in the GCC region would be useful but is not essential.
