Job description / Role
Consult with clients during implementations to deliver client-specific venue configuration, testing and training.
As a Clinical Informaticist I, you will provide informatics guidance and act as a liaison between the clinical department and IT, leveraging both clinical knowledge and informatics knowledge to provide innovative solutions. You will participate and provide clinical input during the application system review, design, development, test, and enhancement of information systems.
Your responsibilities will include focusing on clinical utilization and workflow, including patient safety and clinical outcomes as well as research, analysis and making recommendations for application workflow improvements. You will be responsible for establishing trusted relationships with department leaders inside the client organization, collaborating across teams to plan, implement and evaluate the effectiveness of systems and services, as well as ensuring appropriate communication and documentation are completed to support high-quality clinical workflow and application development. Finally, you will assess and analyze the client's end-user learning needs to develop and maintain curriculum and tools.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics or Nursing or 4 years of related work experience
- At least 1 year of Licensed healthcare practice, health informatics, healthcare information technology (HCIT) consulting and/or other client-facing or HCIT solution work experience
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working with Cerner Millennium is advantageous
Expectations:
- Willing to travel up to 50% as needed
- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
