Play Your Part

Purpose;
• Head of IP relations is responsible for devising the overall IP strategy for the L&E division, evaluating new concepts, investments & business opportunities, forging new IP partnership as well as managing existing IP relationships in order to enhance the overall growth of the firm

Main Duties;
• Devise and continuously update overall IP strategy for L&E division across different business segment and assist in development of business plan.
• Identify and evaluate new concepts, investments & business opportunities and forge third party tie-up with world class IP players for various business segments (for example, theme parks, hospitality, retail/dining and various entertainment concepts).
• Undertake commercial negotiations and contract finalization with various business partners, operators, managers, and other third parties.
• Manage existing/new IP relationships on a proactive basis and explore ways of enhancing business with them.
• Prepare and present inputs related to organization/departmental/ project budgets to the next reporting line.
• Manage and control the actual cost verses budget on periodic basis and provide financial reports/data related to the department/ divisional /projects financial performance.
• Develop and implement policies procedures and processes for the respective function/ department and ensure reviewing and keeping the existing ones updated as part of the ‘continuous process improvement’.
• Manage implementation of relevant electronic systems to bring efficiency and effectiveness existing processes.
• Set Objectives/ KPI’s/ Milestones for the respective department/ function and conduct appraisals for direct reportees on electronic performance management system.
• Ensure that team members are provided learning and career development opportunities by identifying successor within the team, preparing them for the next accountable roles and recommending them for external trainings whenever required in consultation with HR Department.
• Ensure the productivity and service delivery of the department is improved on continuous basis by keeping team members motivated and retained

Requirements

Are You a Star?

Essential;
• Must have MBA degree or equivalent qualification
• Requires a minimum of ten years’ experience in similar field at a senior management level with preference in the theme park

Desirable;
• Knowledge of theme park and entertainment industry, investment analysis, business development, strategic thinking, licencing agreements, creativity, analytical thinking, negotiations, finance.
• Deciding & initiating action, leading & supervising, adhering to principles & values, relating & networking, persuading & influencing, creating & innovating, entrepreneurial & commercial thinking, formulating strategies & concepts
