Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

* Works with individual Programme Directors and Programme/Project Managers to ensure that UAE Regulatory Remediation Program (RRP) programmes, projects and streams are established and operating in accordance with the US Supervisory Remediation Program (SRP) standards as documented in the Programme Management Plan (PMP).
* Performs regular review and challenge to ensure that all workstreams, projects and streams are appropriately assessing, documenting and reporting/escalating all issues, risks, gaps or exceptions (such as change control items). Has the authority to recommend to the Head of the UAE RRP, that the workstream/project/stream reverts to "Amber" on a risk-based basis.
* Works with the other members of the RRP team to ensure that the respective governance controls are implemented for each programme, project and stream within the UAE RRP
* Completes the first level validation (before Operational Risk and GIA) on the completion notes for Regulatory reports.
* Performs regular review of each programme/project/stream to ensure all issues, risks, gaps or exceptions have been appropriately assessed and highlighted. Has the authority to revert a project to "Amber" on a risk-based basis.
* Performs the Business Operational Risk Manager (BORM) function for the UAE RRP (programme level) - the BORM represents the First Line of Defence for Operational Risk (OR) within the UAE RRP, implements the Stadnard Chartered (SC) Operational Risk Framework (ORF), and supports the Group's OR strategy and associated OR procedures to ensure that operational risk is effectively managed within the UAE RRP. Works with the Remediation Program (RP) to ensure that all Local Key Control Self Assessment's (LKCSAs) and other checks that the UAE RRP is required to complete are completed on time and to the standard required.
* Ensures that all programmes, projects and streams within the UAE RRP are operating in accordance with the standards contained in the PMP - with all appropriate documentation, tracking and reporting produced, approved and maintained up to date.
* Participation in Working Group and Steering Group/Committee meetings in scope of the assurance role, as an invitee on a regular basis, ensuring these are effective in terms of driving deliverables and mitigating risks and issues.
* Reviews change requests escalated to the Project Management Officer (PMO) to assess potential impact of the changes and ensure they are escalated to the Head of UAE RRP
* Provides challenge to the programmes, projects and streams in scope, highlights interdependencies and monitors to ensure that risks/issues that may put the deliverables and timelines at risk are escalated early and appropriately assessed and facilitates the resolution/mitigation process.
* Hosts a monthly review group with all individual Programme Directors and Project Managers (where required), to discuss overall themes in Assurance and risks/issues. .
* Complete all required Key Control Self Assessment (KCSA) checks for the UAE RRP, based on the unit in Optial, working closely with the RP and other functional BORMs as required.

Requirements

* At least 3-5 years experience working in a project/programme office environment, or relevant Audit experience
* Excellent Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint skills
* Hands-on experience in running projects and good grasp of Project Management methodologies would be an asset
* Proven track record in working with complexity and in a matrix organisation, with excellent ability to create a network
* Ability to drive multiple agenda
* Strong communication skills, both spoken and written
* Strong interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills
* Flexible and responsive in order to handle changing priorities
