Audio Visual Technician

Job description / Role

To manage and operate effectively the daily operations of the hotel. The AV technician will report to the IT Manager/Supervisor who will assign to handle Banqueting events and setups on a daily basis, which also includes coordination, follow-up, volunteer and work with different departments and the guest as a lateral service for the success of the event, the technician will be required to work on flexible shifts and work long hours to the benefit of the event.

Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the IT Manager/Supervisor, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
• Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
• Setting up and configuring all systems as given below in subsections of Audio, Video and Lighting (presentable setup no exposed wires)
• Working in a fast paced environment and handling daily meeting and live events.
• Assist in connecting a computer for a presentation
• Works in a manner safe to the individual and other people; follows safety rules
• And safe working practices; uses safety equipment as required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with users having limited AV experience.
• Updating daily overview form on daily bases.
• Updating daily task form (log Book) on daily bases.
• Updating AV inventory on weekly bases.
• Attending BEO’s meetings on daily bases.
• Attending department briefing on daily bases.
• Keeping AV store room clean and well maintained.

Requirements

Qualifications:
• Previous experience is an asset
• Speaker systems and Amps, Biamp methods, Triamp methods
• Audio Mixers, FOH, Monitor consoles (Knowledge in 4 Aux, 8 bus, matrix configuration, inserts, routing)
• Mics: All types and kinds methods of operation
• Conference Mic systems.
• Effect processors: compressors, Delays, limiters, feedback eliminators.

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
• Constant standing and walking throughout shift
