Summary

In this role you will be responsible to assist the Events Manager. To set up, operate, maintain and repair equipment used to enhance live events, such as microphones, video recorders, projectors, lighting and sound mixing equipment. Setup A/V equipment for meetings and various functions. Serve as on-sight A/V support for events that take place in the Hotel. Perform preventative maintenance on television, cameras/professional video and audiovisual equipment. Schedule and documents bi-monthly routine maintenance on all assigned AV systems equipment.

Requirements

Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who is currently in a similar role or has 2 years relevant Audio Visual experience ideally in a hotel or hospitality related industry. Candidates should also have qualifying certifications for their trade.

We expect the candidate to bring good problem solving and interpersonal skills, paired with the ability to empathetically communicate with all customers and colleagues in the hotel. Verbal and written English language proficiency is required, with a second language helpful.

About the Company

Hyatt was founded by Jay Pritzker in 1957 when he purchased the Hyatt House motel adjacent to the Los Angeles International Airport. Over the following decade, Jay Pritzker and his brother, Donald Pritzker, working together with other Pritzker family business interests, grew the company into a North American management and hotel ownership company, which became a public company in 1962. In 1968, Hyatt International was formed and subsequently became a separate public company. Hyatt Corporation and Hyatt International Corporation were taken private by the Pritzker family business interests in 1979 and 1982, respectively. On December 31, 2004, substantially all of the hospitality assets owned by Pritzker family business interests, including Hyatt Corporation and Hyatt International Corporation, were consolidated under a single entity, now Hyatt Hotels Corporation.
