Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and talented full-time cell culture postdoc to join KCGEB with experience in Avian Cell and Molecular Biology. The successful candidate should have a strong background in molecular and cell biology techniques including primordial culture of cell lines, cell transfection, and recombinant protein expression etc. They will play an important role within the research group and they will be expected to participate in experimental design, conduct experiments, and maintain detailed records. The position is available immediately, and will ideally start early 2021.

Requirements

Minimum Qualification
- A PhD degree in Molecular Cell biology, Biology, biochemistry, or other related subject with 1-2 years of experience

Preferred Qualification

Expected Skills/Rank/Experience
- Prepare reagents, buffers, and growth media.
- Cell and molecular biology techniques including working under aseptic technique, primordial cell culture (thawing, passaging, and cryopreservation of cells) and other cell culture protocols.
- Transfection of cells, recombinant expression and functional assay of proteins.
- Technical proficiency in operation of standard cell biology laboratory equipment including microscopes, laminar flow biological safety cabinet, plate readers, liquid handlers, centrifuges and pipettes.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong documentation skills, and ability to communicate effectively results and observations to colleagues in one-to-one and team meetings.
- Excellent organizational, technical, follow instructions and trouble-shooting skills with attention to detail
- Ability to learn new techniques, multitask, and keeps accurate records and can work independently and has a positive attitude.
