Job description / Role
On behalf of our client, a leading global bank located in Dubai DIFC, Swisslinx Middle East is looking for an AVP Legal to support the Head of Legal in all Legal related matters across the Middle East region. The role is a 6 months maternity cover to start in mid-October 2019.
Responsibilities:
• Draft and review legal documentation
• Manage external law firms as and when required
• Contractual reviews/POA
• Non-disclosure agreements
• Legal opinion for new product assessment
• Cross-border issues
• Legal matters on loans, guarantees and trade finance
• Legal opinion/support on enforcement/execution of contractual rights
• Legal support on recovery/collection of debt
• Legal support, legal opinion on Islamic Finance business
• Syndicated loans
• Local legal requirements
• Legal support of deal re-structuring
• Legal interpretation of local regulatory/legal requirements
• Legal support of labour law related matters
• Legal support on the review of third party contracts
• Management of Data Protection matters across the region
Requirements
• Training contract/practising experience with a top law firm
• General experience in banking and project finance law, trade finance
• Good knowledge with all forms of LMA loan documentation, guarantees, security documents
• Good working knowledge of the laws of the UAE, DIFC.
