Employment: Full Time

OB SUMMARY
• Oversee the provision of Marine Support to the Company’s Jack-up Rig Move operations while ensuring such operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensure compliance with company policy and procedures and Coastal State, Flag State and Classification Society Requirements.
• Direct the establishment of rig move procedures including attendance during the rig moves.
• Arrange for / coordinate the provision of Third Party services in support of rig moves and / or rig transports, while also supporting Mooring and DP operations.
• Directly responsible for ensuring the suitability of a unit to operate at a particular location, including site assessment and positioning of the rig within tight tolerances at the limit of the unit’s operational envelope.
• Support the Corporate Jack-up Superintendent and Marine Group as required.

JOB DUTIES

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Company’s move operations while ensuring such operations are conducted.
• Direct rig move operations as required in a safe and efficient manner.
• Assist in the including unit suitability to operate at a location.
• Coordination of assessing the suitability of a unit to operate at a particular location, including site assessment and positioning the rig within tight tolerances at the limit of the unit’s operational envelope.
• Guide and establish rig move procedures including attendance during transport
• Ensure compliance with company policy and procedures as the rig moves, along with Coastal State, Flag State and Classification Society
• Assist in the development and maintenance of stability requirements.
• Assist with the revision of rig operation manuals as programs.
• Arrange for and coordinate provision of Third Party services required.
• Assist Engineering and in support of rig moves or transports.
• Manage design and problem analysis work with Compliance group as required.
• Assist new equipment on jacking machinery and systems, as required.
• Review CAD drawings for evaluation, construction and installation.
• Guide the development of rig policies, operating accuracy.
• Physical dexterity procedures and update rig operations manuals, sufficient to perform all necessary shipyard interface and interaction
• Perform other duties required within the scope of job responsibility as assigned by senior management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marine transportation / Marine License preferred and or USCG MODU OIM / Barge Supervisor License or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in operation and management of offshore marine systems, including jacking systems, anchoring, mooring, ship handling, basic seamanship, damage control equipment and procedures, in addition to environmental safety.
• Experience in cargo and stability operations with effects, including vessel ballast and loading.
• Experience in managing personnel.
• Experience in rig towing and movement operations.
• Knowledge of ocean weather and sea state conditions affecting rig operations.
• Knowledge of regulations and laws as related to offshore drilling operations in the area of operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication and management skills.
• Proficient computer skills in office software and company proprietary software.
• Experience in marine environmental and hazardous material regulations and procedures.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks on a daily basis and to follow-up on all tasking to completion.
• Extensive knowledgeable in offshore drilling unit design and construction oversea marine support to the techniques.
