Job Title: Barista

Job Summary:
As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting and serving high-quality coffee beverages while providing excellent customer service. This role involves a combination of customer interaction, beverage preparation, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The ideal candidate should possess a passion for coffee, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Customer Service:
• Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Take customer orders, answer questions, and provide recommendations.
• Ensure a positive customer experience by delivering prompt and efficient service.

Beverage Preparation:
• Prepare a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccino, lattes, and more.
• Grind coffee beans and use espresso machines to brew coffee.
• Froth milk and create attractive latte art.

Menu Knowledge:

• Stay informed about the coffee menu, including seasonal specials and promotions.
• Educate customers on different coffee blends and brewing methods.

Maintaining Cleanliness:
• Keep the coffee preparation area and equipment clean and sanitized.
• Monitor and replenish coffee supplies and ingredients.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Cash Handling:
• Process customer payments accurately using cash registers or point-of-sale systems.
• Handle cash and provide change to customers.

Team Collaboration:
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a smooth operation.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and superiors.

Requirements

Qualifications:
• Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role is a plus.
• Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Lift and carry moderate to heavy loads (coffee bags, milk containers, etc.).
• Manual dexterity for operating coffee machines and handling small tools.

Working Conditions:
• Varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Fast-paced and busy environment, requiring the ability to multitask.
