BD & Marketing Assistant Manager

Job description / Role

Client is a leading multinational law firm is looking for a BD & Marketing Assistant to join their team.

The role, based in Abu Dhabi, to provide support to partners and legal team members through:
- Efficient and effective project management of the preparation of tender/proposal/bid/pitch materials in response to client requests
- Preparing proposals and pitch/presentation documents, in consultation with partners and fee-earners (lawyers)
- Coaching Proposal teams and rehearsing partners and pitch teams for beauty parades (presentations)
- Identifying opportunities for improving the proposal preparation process, and implementing changes in conjunction with the Head of Business Development, partners and legal team members, incl. legal PA’s
- Development of own knowledge of various industry sectors to effectively support different practice areas, as when required

Requirements

- Graduate (or equivalent) with qualifications in Business, Economics, Law, Commerce, Social Sciences/Marketing or similar.
- Three to five years’ experience in coaching and/or project managing proposal preparation processes and teams in a professional services, banking and financial services, consulting services or law firm environment
- Project management and process improvement experience preferred.
- Ability to engage teams to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects and deliver under pressure.
- Excellent communication and presentation capabilities – both written and oral.
- Excellent interpersonal, coaching and influencing skills – with various stakeholders including partners, legal team members, business development colleagues, clients and suppliers.
- A proactive, client-centric approach, balancing creativity, tenacity and attention to detail
- Ability to coach, motivate and inspire proposal / bid teams to deliver on business goals and effect change/improvements, where required. Be able to draw on experience to manage and effect change.
