Employment: Full Time

Working within the Sales Support Center team, as a Bid Manager – Airside you will work with Airports CoE (internally) and senior procurement officers (externally) and you will be responsible of the delivery of the high quality AGL Solutions & Bid Proposals on time, and in line with Honeywell standards of quality.

You will be responsible to manage one or more enquiries (direct invitation to Honeywell via Sales and/or Business Development Teams) or bids open in response to open tenders. You will also be required to manage the bid process within the guidelines established by Honeywell bidding processes and procedures. You are required to Travel at short notice and required to stay for short periods of time to KSA, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and other countries in Middle East to support the Mega AGL Projects in line with Company Travel & Security Policies.

To be successful you will need to be very well organized, with sound project management skills, able to work within a team and across functional organization.

Responsibilities:
- Take Lead Role in Design & Estimation of all Major Airside Proposals that get approved in the Bid/No-Bid and any other emergency bids
- Provide accurate technical solutions for all Major AG System Bid Proposals
- Work closely with the Airports CoE, District SSC Leader (Location Leader) and Regional SSC Leader (Proposal Centre Leader) to produce the best technical solution as your ultimate deliverable within time and quality
- Prepare and Use the Airside TPW Document for all Bids
- Take Ownership and Accountability of all Major AGL Bids
- Work closely with the Airports CoE team members to gather the required information on-time and manage the proposal output as a mini-project during the pre-sales cycle
- Capture the bid/no-bid process and work across all functions to obtain the necessary approvals within the bidding time cycle
- Manage relationship with potential & existing clients to be able to shorten the bid proposal time plan while maintaining quality measure set by Honeywell
- Apply good understanding of project’ deployment, engineering/estimation processes and strong market’ awareness and cultural influence, to be able to guide the team members on prioritization
- Work closely with sales & business development teams in understanding and assessing customer’s requirements
- Facilitate the support required across different functions to the solution’ architects within the team to be able to gather the quality engineering proposals as a vital component of your bid proposals
- Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision
- You should be able to interact with internal/external clients and present the professional image of Honeywell
- Work in close liaison with Bid Manager and SDC Leaders and preparing SDC Slides for L-Review DECKS. Take Lead Role in chartering L Review Calls for all AGL Bids
- Work Closely with Honeywell Airports Estimation Team in Pune and TAC Team in Bangalore and obtain TRR approvals in a timely manner prior to the L Review Calls for bidding
- Work closely with the Project Operations Team and obtain inputs for pricing variation opportunities on existing airport projects
- Prepare Bid Programmes for all AGL Bids and Monitor them closely for any lags and escalate issues to seniors
- Assistance with the creating highly professional technical and commercial proposals suitable for presentation to the highest levels of management
- Reviewing scope for all opportunities and proposals, and deliver on technical compliance statements
- Work closely with sales & business development teams in understanding and assessing customer’s requirements
- Selecting the proper combination of hardware, software, equipment, materials and services that will deliver the highest value to the customer while supporting overall Honeywell business objectives
- Support of Project Managers, when requested, in the calculation of costs and sell prices for project Change Orders
- Must have the ability to multi task and produce desired results in a deadline driven environment. Proposals include technical scope, commercial estimates, deliverables, schedules and terms and conditions and other variables to meet customer requests and expectations. All proposal work must be completed according to Honeywell professional standards
- Bid Manager will develop relationships with General Contractors and other contractors’ technical/design teams as well as consultants to partner in budget pricing and working towards teaming for targeting large projects jointly with various contractor/consultants and 3rd parties
- Work with senior staff members (internally) and senior procurement officers (externally)
- Delivery of high quality solutions and bid proposal on time in line with Honeywell standards of quality

- Manage the bid process within the guidelines established by Honeywell bidding processes and procedures
- Require travel at short notice and need to saty for short periods of time to KSA, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and other countries in the Middle East to support Mega Projects in line with Company Travel & Security policies
- Full understanding of the Airfield Ground Lighting designs as per ICAO Annex 14

Requirements

- BTech/BE degree in Elecrtrical Engineering from a reputed University
- Airfield Ground Lighting Trainings and Certifications
- Hands-on estimation experience
- At least 10 years of AGL experience estimating, selling, project implementation
- Working knowledge of all elements of Airfield Ground Lighting and other CNS/ATM systems is nice to have
- Should posses the knowledge to design and engineer all the above-mentioned systems and do estimation for the same with the help of supply chain
- Prepare Drawings, compliance statements and submittals in line with the highest Honeywell standards
- Proactive approach and provide customers value engineered solutions and products that help meet the budget of the customers
- A working knowledge of existing hardware installations and upgrade requirements to current technology
- Be knowledgeable for new products and applications as they are introduced
- Be proficient with Standard Hardware Drawing tool set for submittals. Re-use is the focus here
- Excellent PC skills including strong MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Knowledge
- Good verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent Contacts with AGL Suppliers in the market
