Employment: Full Time

Reports to: Division Director

Client is a leading distributor of fragrances and cosmetics in the Middle East, managing more than 40 luxury brands.

They support well known and high end international brands from their distribution and head office site in Dubai.

They are now seeking an experienced Brand Manager from the beauty and fragrance industries to enable further development and introduce new brands across the region.

Key Purpose of the role:
- At the direction of the Division Director, implement strategies and initiatives in order to meet company targets for sustainable growth, profitability and cash flow.
- Responsible for managing a portfolio of luxury European brands and acting as eye of the Principals in the Middle Eastern market.

Role Responsibilities:

Market Analysis
- Perform a retail audit on monthly basis.
- Monitor level of distribution per market Vs Total market (DN).
- Gather market facts and new developments including new malls/shops openings, change of regulations and key news to communicate.
- Obtain and communicate ranking data from key retailers to principals.
- Monthly reporting on brands launches, animations, promotions.
- Maintain a tracksheet of Year End fragrance and cosmetics figures.
- Monitor retail price database of supplier’s Vs key competitors.

Operational Marketing-Merchandising-PR
- Propose marketing plans/animations adapted to the region.
- Check good implementation of merchandising guidelines and proposes possible improvement.
- Monitor shelf space and visibility of brands in selected main retail doors.
- Local PR follow up, including PR insertions.
- Prepare presentations and meet retailers whenever necessary , particularly for 1st and 2nd semester strategy meetings
- Liaise smoothly between retailers, principals, and local distributors for implementation of specific animations, promotions, Star brand program.

Sales Reporting
- Responsible of monthly sales reporting to principals and figures synthesis by country and by brand
- Gather and provide principals with monthly stock statements from local distributors

Media
- Media information gathering and analysis.
- Media planning and booking based on company agreements as requested by Principals.

Administrative
- Provide suppliers with monthly sales reports (sell-in and sell-out)
- Send market visit reviews to clients and suppliers

Requirements

- Evidence of passion, achievements and leadership.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- At least 5 years of experience in all areas of luxury beauty (perfumes and cosmetics) marketing: new product briefs, POS, promotional plans (conception and implementation) advertising development, media plans and brand presentations.Market awareness is a must and experience in fragrances & cosmetics is a plus.
- Travel in the Middle East and Europe is required 30% of the time.
- Driving License and car are needed for the UAE market.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking.
- Very strong in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Fluent in English. French and Arabic is a plus.
- Nationality to allow easy travelling in the Middle East region / visa obtaining.
