Brand Lounge needs a new researcher.

The secret of great business strategy is to know your market and understand the place you occupy in it. That’s why, at Brand Lounge, we place great emphasis on research.

Right now we are looking to add a new Brand Research Manager to our team, so if you feel you can measure up, let us know and we can start to talk.

Our three-stage research process starts with desk research. You’ll need to know where to look on-line and off, for those rare insights that will set us on the right track. You’ll work with clients directly through workshops and meetings to dig out the information that they have hiding in their archives and CRM databases and trawl the Internet for reports and articles to fill in the gaps. Once you’ve exhausted these options you’ll review what you have and be able to design online and off-line research to complete the picture, managing any external suppliers you may need to call on.

Your finale will be a substantial discovery and analysis report, prepared to our standard format that you’ll present internally and to our clients to set the scene for our strategy development phase.

You’ll need all of the following:
- You’ll know your way around the Internet and all its resources like the back of your hand.
- You’ll know the difference between facts and supposition and be able to back everything you tell us with hard data and analysis
- You’ll have contacts in the research sector (especially around the Gulf) to call on for insights and the skills you’ll need to complete any commissioned research.
- There’s never enough time in this business, so you’ll be a natural calming influence under pressure.
- You will have a natural ability to organise your thoughts around a standard reporting format like, ours so that your insights always make sense to anyone and our output remains consistent. (We have a reputation for the standards we set in the presentation of our work)
- You’ll have experience across all sectors from corporate and construction to FMCG.
- You’ll be a team player, delivering your stuff on time every time and to the high standard we are know for.

We expect you to:
- Take the detailed brief we give you and run with it.
- Prepare a plan of approach to each research project individually, identifying priorities and contents inline with our discovery model (brand analysis and audit, industry analysis, sector analysis, competitive analysis, benchmarking and gap analysis).
- Report internally at prescribed times throughout the process on your progress
- Prepare a final report and presentation for our team and our client and present it confidently.
- Design and manage simple, tailored research pieces, particularly on-line using available tools.

Requirements

- Passion for brands and a clear understanding of the central role they play in any business.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills.
- 3 - 5 years of similar experience in reputable branding/marketing/research agencies
- Strategic capabilities, innovative with a creative mind
- The spirit of a true team player
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time efficiently
