Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Purpose:
- To perform both local & regional business and functional analysis relating to Retail Credit and Finance reporting requirements and its data analysis leading to the preparation of accurate, detailed and complete business requirement documents. This includes validation and streamlining of previously developed business requirement documentation to ensure they are up to date & recent and fit for translation within an Enterprise Data Management project (EDMp) implementation.
- During the process of analyzing the business areas affected, the job holder will acquire good working knowledge of business processes and data flows to facilitate collaboration of business and cross-functional teams and process owners to develop solutions that meet these business requirements and resolution of issues.
- The job holder is also expected to understand the work done by the Data Standards & Services team to ensure the data attributes from source systems are correctly identified and fit for use. To be effective in this area, the job holder is required to be proactive in ensuring he is familiar with local & regional business processes & reporting and how these are connected with the various systems being used by the Bank.
- Another key purpose of this role is to participate in data verification and user acceptance testing to ensure that the expectations are met as per requirements. This requires a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of urgency to follow-through any issues encountered until successful resolution.
- During the project roll-out phase, the job holder will conduct user training for the local & regional functional teams and is instrumental to rapid adoption and use of the new application

Key Roles and Responsibilities
- To have good knowledge of BCBS 239 principles and its implications in the end-to-end data and information flow within the bank.
- Communicate with local and regional stakeholders on project undertakings and progress of work relevant to their business and functional areas.
- Understand the Create & Capture business processes to provide the necessary oversight of data identified and sourced from respective systems by the Data Standards and Services team.
- Engage the respective Country's Finance & Risk teams throughout the analysis and implementation phase to keep abreast of new or changes in business requirements throughout the project timeline.
- Work closely with business and technology teams to develop solutions taking into account the relevant risks and impacts.
- Be familiar with local & regional system code values with the corresponding mapping, translations or hierarchies as required in various reporting packs such as product, customer segment, block codes, account status, etc. To be able to discern the inconsistencies, inadequacies and make sound and sustainable recommendations to solve mapping issues.
- Understand the data quality and assurance policies and guidelines and apply the requirements to all data sourced and used in the business and functional areas.
- Perform Tier 2 & Tier 3 data verification, UAT and UVT and highlight issues then seek plans for resolution. This will ensure that the expectations are met as per requirements.
- Have good working knowledge of ELDM to be effective in performing the UAT & UVT.
- Able to identify & highlight operational process changes required to support data sourcing requirements.
- Work with local & regional business and functional stakeholders and users to define acceptance criteria.
- Assist in coming up & validating the requirements for Tier 3 by working closely with the local & regional users to ensure the solution is suitable for their needs
- Awareness of other projects' functionalities within the EDMp space.
- Ability to conduct user training for the local & regional functional teams to facilitate rapid adoption and use of the new application.

Requirements

* Background in Retail Banking products & services with respect to its Business Operations, Finance & Credit Risk with 3-6 years of experience.
* Ability to maintain good stakeholders' engagement
* Effectiveness of collaboration between business, credit, finance and technology teams
* Good working relationship with the relevant Technology teams and get things right the first time to avoid rework
* Adherence to Project timelines and milestones
* Fulfillment of tasks assigned and its quality
* Complete and accurate business requirements document
* Understanding of reporting/use application(s)
* Familiarity with the Bank's systems and data warehousing concepts is an advantage
* Ability to motivate peers and team members
* Ability to adapt in a fast paced environment coupled with the right attitude
* Have a keen eye for details
* Good team player
* Excellent communication & comprehension skills
* Effectiveness in conducting presentations & end user trainings
