Business Cards Leader (UAE) - Al Futtaim Finance

Position will report into the GM – Consumer Finance and work closely with Al Futtaim Finance Management team.The ideal candidate will be resposible to:
- Managing and Driving the Card Portfolio Performance, which includes –
- Achieving and exceeding the profit targets
- Achieving card acquisition targets
- Driving spend on the cards
- Managing attrition
- Develop products and propositions to enhance customer acquisition and customer spend, and achieve sustainable profitable growth
- Strategic management of key 3rd party relationships (i.e. Issuing Bank and Payment Scheme Partners)
- Managing relationships with key external stakeholders including local regulators, suppliers and local industry bodies.
- Identifying and establishing external 3rd party relationships to drive spend and to enhance the overall card offering for the customers
- Developing and enhancing the overall card offering in the UAE market (i.e. launching new card programs)
- Growing, developing and managing the Cards Leadership Team
- Ensuring that the Governance, Compliance, Risk and Control are implemented and adhered to meet Group Standards /UAE CB. Including the introduction of any new regulatory or Group requirements are implemented and reviewed throughout unit in a timely fashion.

Requirements

- The candidate should possess several years' in depth experience within similar roles; preferably 2-5 years in a leadership role in cards /consumer finance with experience of product, sales & marketing.
- Excellent relationship management skills with ability to influence at Senior Management level
- A proven successful record of accomplishment of management experience at Middle and senior Level.
- Successful management of resources such as budgets, people and premises in an operational area.
- Management experience in a multi-cultural environment
- Deep domain understanding of payment systems, issuing, acquiring, and loyalty is expected.
- Strong Negotiation Skills
- Track record in introducing innovation into the business
- Understanding of local regulations related to Consumer Banking including Visa and MasterCard regulations & UAE CB regulations.
- Good working knowledge of IT and card industry related systems and applications
