Business Development and Marketing Specialist - Dubai

An established, international law firm is seeking a Business Development and Marketing specialist to join the team in Dubai. Reporting to the Associate Director of Business Development, this individual will be responsible for advising, supporting and executing marketing and business development programmes and initiatives for the Middle East practice.

The role forms part of the firm wide marketing team which spans our network of offices in the US, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* In conjunction with the Dubai and Doha partners, this person is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for winning new clients, existing clients and increasing awareness of the firm's brand.
* Proactively suggest suitable marketing initiatives to raise the firms profile in a manner which is consistent with firm policies and budgetary guidelines
* Creating and delivering differentiated client-focused proposals, qualifications and presentation materials in response to RFPs and other opportunities for new business. Follow up with lawyers on outcomes and conduct debriefings as assigned.
* Creating and maintaining experience lists for practice areas and lawyer activities.
* Preparing and delivering relevant market intelligence and strategic business development advice.
* Supporting office and practice public relations activities. Identify potential press opportunities, and collaborate with office and firm wide marketing staff to turn those opportunities into media exposure.
* Managing the preparation of submissions to the legal directories in order to build profile within the Middle East business and legal community.
* Planning seminars, conferences and other firm-sponsored events.

Requirements

* Graduate or graduate calibre
* Minimum 4 years business development/marketing experience preferably, within the legal, oil and gas, or accountancy sector.
* Experience of running pitches/proposals and adding value to the process.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
* High level of maturity and confidence necessary to engage with and influence sophisticated internal and external clients.
