Job description / Role
A multinational group of company is now looking for a Business Development Director / Head of Business Development to lead and oversee the development and growth of profitable new business and to develop and maintain effective key client relationships. This position will be responsible for all aspects of managing and motivating the Business Development Team. This position will also ensure busi-ness growth through directing and managing business development activities to ensure these are delivered in accordance with the organizational strategy.
Responsible to: Managing Director
External relationships: All clients,vendors,suppliers,Government Institutions
Internal relationships: MD and all department head
Key Responsibilities and Account abilities:
- Contribute to the development and refinement of Company’s vision and strategy
- Support the overall process of management and corporate decision-making to ensure the organ-ization maximizes its short, medium and long-term profitability and shareholder returns
- Liaise with other executive heads on the implementation of the company’s strategic and opera-tional plans
- Develop, review, and report on the business development division’s strategy, ensuring the stra-tegic objectives are well understood and executed by the team
Management of the Overall Business Development Function Including:
- Impact the profitability of the company through ensuring strategic and tactical management decisions and new business development results
- Marketing
- Competitor and market analysis
- Develop and lead the Business Development team in sourcing, managing and implementing new business opportunities
- Present a budget for board approval and prudently manage resources within those budgetary guidelines according to company policy and within ethical corporate governance guidelines
- Maintain and develop organizational culture, values and reputation in its markets and with all staff, customers, suppliers, partners and regulatory/official bodies

Skills & Qualification
- Experience: Minimum 10 years experience working within a contracts / commercial environment in an international,commercial or government-facing organization in Middle East.
- Education: Minimum BSc in Business,Fiance or related filed.A postgraduate qualification will be desirable.
- Language: Excellent English & Arabic communication skills. Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
- Other Skills & Training: Computer Skills, industry training, Driving License
- Managerial Responsibilities: Directly supervises employees in the Commercial and Business Operations. Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Other duties: Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
