Business Development Manager

The Role

One of the region’s leading distribution companies are looking to hire a project logistics Business Development Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Sales Director to plan and execute the project logistics activities according to the strict deadlines of the customer and within the specified budget. You will be required to acquire resources as well as coordinate with team members and Sub Contractors.

You will be responsible for meeting up with new project customers whilst following up with existing projects. You will generate new project clients and develop full scale project execution as well as liaise with Sub Contractors and third party service providers and other department managers to meet customer expectations. Other accountabilities will include developing and delivering progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations as well as identifying and resolving issues and conflicts within the project team and among the Sub Contractors.


The successful candidate will hold a bachelors Degree coupled with five to seven years experience within logistics business development. The ability to communicate and interact effectively with people from multi-functional and diverse backgrounds is a key requirement. You should also be able to read, analyse and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
