Employment: Full Time

A leading organization from the banking sector based in UAE is looking to an experienced Business Development Manager to join their dynamic team of professionals. The desired candidates must have at least 5 years of Mortgage Product experience in the UAE. The candidate must also have good knowledge of Mortgage process, Credit Policy and Legal enforcement.

This job is key to optimise the current channels and start new channels for bringing in new mortgage volumes.

The duties and responsibilities are as follows:
- Managing developer relations and proactively exploring new business opportunities to support our acquisition channels. There is an opportunity to introduce innovative subvention solutions, which will enable us to package value propositions for our clients.
- Proactively engage with Real estate network to identify avenues and solutions, which can assist us in attracting bulk business from them. There are co-marketing opportunities with leading Real Estate brokers for strategic positioning.
- Strengthen and develop our existing broker channel from super affluent segment of the market. There is work to be done in empanelment of new brokers (diversify channels), training and facilitating end to end processing of their mortgage cases.
- Managing and setting up a premiere servicing channel for ultra-high net worth individuals with personalized service. These individuals look for complete secrecy with flawless execution. They expect handhold approach and minimal contact whilst their cases are processed. Generally, they are comfortable in dealing with senior and knowledgeable staff and expect them to be one stop solution provider for their mortgage dealings with Emirates NBD.
- Support cases, which are under litigation and disputes with the developers. These cases demand personal attention, involvement, and developers expect senior management to come forward to discuss amicable solutions.
- Interaction with Dubai lands department [DLD] and satellite registration offices for portfolio remedial and title perfection formalities pertaining to portfolio and new customers.
- Dealing with competition institutions for the issuance of liability letters and handing over of the security files. With lowered exit fees, all banks are delaying loan closures, which impacts on our new bookings. Follow-ups and personal relations are required to manage such situations.
- To identify opportunities to gain visibility and accessibility by participating in events such as Cityscape, mortgage summits and real estate broker platforms.
- Manage valuator relations for ongoing business transactions whilst facilitating underwriting team for case and project specific transactions.

Requirements

- Graduate / Post Graduate
- 5+ years of Mortgage Product experience in UAE
- Knowledge of Mortgage process, Credit Policy, legal enforcements
- Complete understanding of the property landscape and knowledge of the UAE freehold market.
- Strong relationships with the local developers and real estate agents
- Good Interpersonal and writing skills with superior command over making power point presentations
- Ability to lead projects independently and conclude them successfully
- Relationship management
- Mature and balanced approach
- Understanding of the market and importance of relationships
- Self-motivated and driven to conclude and lead projects successfully
- Credit and process related knowledge of the mortgage product
- Age of 25 + years
- Valid UAE driving license
