Business Development Manager - Dubai
An international law firm is seeking a Business Development Manager to join the team in Dubai.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Work with Dubai Partners and fee earners to identify and research key areas of interest in the firm's practice areas, from a marketing perspective
* Work with Dubai Partners and fee earners to identify and evaluate target companies in the firm's practice areas
* Identify and evaluate external opportunities to raise awareness, such as social events, conferences and memberships of organisations
* Negotiate sponsorship packages at key events
* Plan and execute our social and seminar events throughout the year
* Regularly review the marketing media to ensure they are up to date and 'on brand'
* Consider other available avenues of marketing media, including social media and make proposals to the Dubai Partners accordingly
* Assist in developing social media presence to achieve our marketing objectives
* Prepare tender documents and pitches as required using existing templates and developing templates appropriate for use to the target clients
* Prepare presentations for external speaking events and ensure a consistent format throughout
* Prepare directory submissions
* Manage contact database to ensure names are accurately recorded and existing clients/contacts and target clients receive the correct/appropriate publications and notification of events
* Encourage and manage the distribution of editorial provided by the legal team
* Review and report on the marketing budget
* Provide input into the Business Development plans for each group
* Attend weekly office marketing meetings and ensure cohesion in approach of all staff on marketing matters
* Identify any suitable training opportunities for the marketing executive to enhance skills offered
* Identify any suitable training opportunities for fee earners to enhance networking/presentation skills
* Assist Dubai Partners in the preparation of pricing options documentation
Requirements
* Minimum five years business development and marketing experience within the legal, professional services or oil and gas industry.
* The successful candidate will be exceptionally bright and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* This individual must possess exceptional client interaction skills at all levels.
* Excellent writing, editing and presentation skills with a strong attention to detail.
