Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

A global IT solutions and software provider are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join their team in Dubai. Joining a SME sized regional office, there is a strong sense of work ethic and client focus to ensure the procurement, installation and ongoing maintenance of the software they provide to their construction clients is second to none. This is a new role, due to the demand in the market for our client’s IT products and will join a team of 6, reporting into the Head of Sales for the MENA region.

Working closely with the lead generation team, who will follow up on potential clients and book meetings on your behalf, it is essential that you are experienced in the specialism of providing project software to the construction industry as you will demonstrate sound industry and technical knowledge to clients within your sales pitch. There is a particular focus on two IT software products and once the client is on board, the wider team will provide licensing access and technical support on an ongoing basis. However the Business Development Manager will very much be seen as the face of the organisation for the client and therefore, it is expected that you will continue to further develop existing clients through add on sales and annual licensing renewals and also continue to onboard new clients across the MENA region.

All information is maintained within the Salesforce CRM and prior knowledge of this ERP is required in order to track potential business and ensure that no opportunity is missed. The successful candidate will ensure that they remain up to speed with industry knowledge concerning new projects and organisations coming into the region that would require the use of the company’s project management tools, and ideally will bring an already proven successful network of clients from their prior experience within the constriction and civil engineering field.

Part of this role will encompass IT knowledge and advice to ensure that the correct technical configurations are set, system access rights are given, segregation of duties and access according to client instruction and installation and sustainability and troubleshooting of the network infrastructure systems. When handling new clients, it is your responsibility to ensure all relevant documentation is in place with the support of the wider lead generation and licensing team, also based in Dubai. Following on from this you will also keep up to date with the client’s account in terms of payments and continue to take pride in the overall service delivery to maintain the company’s strong customer centric reputation.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you must possess at least 2 years’ experience in a similar business development and technical sales role to the construction industry with a proven track record of success in both existing and new client relationship development. Exposure to software such as “Candy” and “Buildsmart” is a distinct advantage as is those whom are fluent Arabic speakers (although this is not essential to the role). This Business Development Manager role offers a committed and positive team atmosphere, alongside flexible working hours and a competitive quarterly commission scheme, dependent upon successful achievement of targets set by the senior team.
