Business Development Manager F&B MENA

The Main Purpose of the role:
- Direct the Fresh Market operations across the MENA region effectively through standard operating procedures
- Develop and Implement systems in place for monitoring compliance to established stores and service standards
- Ensure sales are conducted within the agreed financial parameters
- Perform feasibility studies on locations that seem suitable for the Fresh Market
- Setting measurable objectives for P&L, budgets, manpower planning etc.
- Setting and maintaining professional relationship with other departments, vendors and government entities

The main areas of responsibility:
- Illustrate and develop the annual plan, associated budgets and sales strategies
- Optimize new and existing business opportunities to ensure business growth in line with the Del Monte's strategic plan for the Region
- Monitor sales performance of all outlets within the MENA region and initiate corrective action where necessary
- Develop and implement appropriate policies and procedures to cover key areas of operational activities
- Ensure the business complies with local laws and regulations
- Ensure that business risks are identified, understood and monitored to mitigate the potential risks.
- Develop the Fresh Market public profile and foster appropriate and productive relations
- All related business sectors including governmental / non- governmental sectors
- Develop and direct all chains' operation and promotional activities, and monitor the effectiveness of the marketing campaign
- Provide leadership, motivation and guidance to Fresh Market staff in order to achieve growth and profitability targets
- Monitor the Financial Costs, Expenses and ensure they are in adherence with the budget

Dimensions of the Job (targets):
- Devise yearly strategy and ensure that this is monitored, maintained and adjusted if needed
- Achieve Financial targets and business objectives as set by the Vice President
- Represent Del Monte Fresh Market in front of government entities and major accounts regionally
- Supervise and manage Fresh Market locations and its expansion in the MENA Region

- Interaction with all subordinates on a daily basis

- MENA/Turkey/Russia/CIS Del Monte units

Flexibility in having to carry out a range of different tasks:
- Sales, Product Development, Logistics, Procurement

Work allocation, review and approval:
- Allocated from Management and self
- Final decision on budgets is made by the Vice President
- Area Managers approve and review daily work of subordinates

Major Problems encountered when carrying out role:
- Operational Barriers, Inventory Management, Governmental constraints

Requirements
