Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The role is to initiate and develop new strategic alliances and relationships with leading financial and non-financial institutions, to open new revenue streams for the Islamic Economy Portal project and the broader Islamic finance business unit. Grow market share by proactively developing and deploying specialist sales strategies, with a major emphasis on opening up new business based on value sales.

Responsibilities:
- Network with potential clients across sectors, with particular focus in the financial sector.
- Identify new opportunities and collaborate with the broader team to develop propositions from concept development through to client sale.
- Research and prepare for meetings and develop proposals and other sales documents.
- Close business deals and manage client satisfaction.
- Manage internal processes and systems including sales management, invoicing and reporting to complete the implementation process for new sales.

Scope & Impact:
- Pro-active in developing new opportunities.
- Responsible for maximising commercial proposition for the Islamic Economy Portal, with financial and non-financial clients across markets.
- Required to coordinate closely with internal teams.
- Team player with a flexible attitude and approach.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject (Finance, Banking, Business, Accounting etc).
- Strong background in Islamic finance demonstrated by a degree, certificate or diploma or through at least three years of related work experience is preferable.
- Minimum 4 to 6 years experience of in a senior business development or relationship management roles, preferably in the financial services industry.
- Work experience in the Islamic finance industry with strong relationships with several institutions is preferable.

- Customer service orientation and experience.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Problem solving approach to issues.
- Conveys professional attitude at all times.
