Job description / Role
Charterhouse has a new and exciting opportunity for a professional, driven and commercially astute Business Development Manager to join an international leading regional law firm in either the UAE or Qatar. The incumbent will have a proven track record as a Business Development Manager within the legal field in the Middle East and will work alongside international and regional offices, planning and driving forward business development and marketing activities for their practice, contributing to the growth of the Firm in the Middle East.
Working closely with fee earners and senior colleagues, this role will provide robust and commercial support and advice on, marketing and business development activities and projects across the Middle East, which will include travel as and when required. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies for winning new clientele, engaging with existing clientele raising further awareness on practice areas and the brand, as well as increasing awareness of Lawyers. This will be a varied role where you will lead in the development of client focused proposals, prepare and deliver market intelligence and business development advice to identify client opportunities, support office and practice PR activities, and participate in regional and international projects when required.
Requirements
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated team player who has outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to write and produce compelling proposals, collateral and research reports. You will have excellent project management, organisational and planning skills and will have the ability to combine commercial advice with a hands-on approach to organize and run activities. You will be commercially astute, and have solid experience of working in a business development role within the legal sector in the Middle East. It is essential that you are flexible in your approach with a willingness to adjust work schedules for workload demands and/or travel. Degree Educated preferred but not essential. The role can be based in either the UAE or Qatar depending on the candidate’s location.
