Objectives:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving new business pipeline through lead generation. Working under the Head of Business Development, the BDM is responsible for generating new business appointments for the Sales Team to attend and ultimately win new business. The BDM will build a comprehensive understanding of company’s value propositions and will be exemplary in effectively articulating them to new prospects.

Main responsibilities:
• Creating marketing opportunities on polyolefin flexible packaging platform
• New Material, innovative structure and concept introduction into flexible packaging
• Understanding the new emerging trend in flexible packaging
• Organising training, marketing meet for new materials and product introduction
• Interfacing with Technology team for faster resolution of complaints
• Identifying new sales leads, pitching new & existing products and/or services
• Preparing PowerPoint presentations and sales displays
• Developing quotes and proposals, negotiating and renegotiating
• Developing sales goals for the team and ensuring they are met
• Training personnel and helping team members develop their skills
• Maintaining fruitful relationships with existing customers and key decision makers.
• Researching organizations and individuals to identify new leads and potential new markets
• Researching the needs of other companies and learning who makes decisions about purchasing
• Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives
• Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events

• Travel requirements: Travel extensively required Europe, USA, Asia

Requirements

University Qualifications:
• MBA with degree in Chemical Technology or exposure in Polymer Technology (Polyolefins) will be best fit.

Nature and length of previous experience:
• Minimum 10 years of hands on experience on Marketing at Polyolefin platform with broad bandwidth in technology, application development and technical services in Polypropylene and Polyethylene.

Soft Skills and Personality traits:
• Flexible Packaging marketing background
• Negotiation & Analytical Skills.
• Skill in prioritizing and triaging obligations
• In-depth knowledge of the polyfilms industry and its current events
• Excellent organizations skills – demonstrate pro-active approach to meeting objectives
• Fluent oral and written skills in English and another European language is plus.
• Good computer literacy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
• Maintain high level of integrity and confidentiality.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with individuals throughout the company as well as build relationships with vendors.
• Strong listening and evaluating skills with the ability to design creative solutions to problem situations.
• Strong math and numerical data analysis skills and strong attention to detail.
• Able to work independently, prioritize assignments, and achieve desired results.
• Ability to handle pressure and meet strict deadlines.
