Charterhouse is working with one of our clients within the Oil and Gas services sector. Our client is a listed entity and is looking to hire a Business Expansion Manager to identify emerging markets, being fully aware of new products and competition status to allow the business to develop by expanding operations in new countries across the Middle East, Africa and Europe.

The Business Expansion Manager will travel regularly to countries not yet covered by the business to tap into new markets and build strong long lasting relationships with new customers. You will demonstrate and maintain a clear understanding of customer’s businesses and their requirements with regular visits. The role will require you to supervise the setup of a new country, completing all legal requirements and develop a marketing & sales strategy. The role will also require you to complete all tenders in compliance with RFQ, tender clarifications and negotiations.

Requirements

The successful candidate should be educated to Degree or High School Diploma level and ideally have some experience in the marine and / or oil & gas industry. A background in rigging, lifting, NDT, TDI, inspection services would be advantageous. Due to the regular travel involved in the role, you need to possess a passport which allows you to travel without restriction across the Middle East, Europe and Africa. You should have a strong background in completing sales, tenders, contracts and business development. You should be experienced in creating marketing and sales strategies, categorizing markets and customers, and identifying key growth and penetration opportunities. Knowledge of INCOTERM’s and Supply Chain Managements would be beneficial. The ideal candidate should be driven, self-motivated and able to work independently. You should also have strong decision making skills, be extremely organized, able to adapt and understand different cultures.
