Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Reporting to the Lead OPEX Engineer which will be under the Site Integration function, you will be responsible for :
- Facilitating Operations business processes and modelling, check the feasibility of the business model, and work with IT, PA, HSE, SSC to configure the applications to replicate the required business processes and analytical/ reporting needs
- Developing and implementing Operations policies and procedures by working in partnership with Operations management and business owners
- Interfaces with Operations business process owners and end-users to identify, define, and document operational needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, and levels of systems access.
- Identifies opportunities for improving business processes in the Operations IT systems and documents new or improved business processes.
- Acts as the internal consultant and performs regular quality audits to the existing business processes.

Requirements

- Higher Diploma (12+2) or equivalent technical qualification. Bachelor or Associate degree considered a plus. Years of experience may be substituted for educational requirement.
- Very strong knowledge of industrial IT application such as: SAP, PI, Lab sample, KMS …etc
- Strong knowledge of Safety equipment systems such as: Tetra-Radio, Public Address, CCTV, Fire/Gas detectors…etc
- Strong knowledge of plant business processes.
- Strong knowledge of basic IT software, networks, programs
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the oil, gas and/ or petrochemical industry.
- 5+ years of experience in IT related role or as operational IT specialist.
- Highly experienced in mapping business requirements and performing gap analysis for configuration and/or customization of computerized management systems.

Skills:
- Analytical, proactive and always working towards a solution that best meets the needs of the end-user.
- Proven organizational, record-keeping and time management skills.
- Highly proficient in the use of SAP, PI, MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Visio, Project & PowerPoint).
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with other teams.
- Outstanding communication skills with good command of English, and should be comfortable interfacing with the business owners on a regular basis.
