Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Core Responsibilities:
- Preparation of C-Tray/Ladder, HVAC DUCTs and Instrumental Catalogues and Specifications.

The prospective candidate will be required in assisting and supporting the following functions:
- Modeling of Cable Tray/Ladder, HVAC DUCTs, Equipments, Supports, etc. and resolving clashes.
- Creating and supporting equipment foundation structures as well as generating fabrication drawings.
- Preparation of Cable-Tray/Ladder and DUCT Isometric Drawing.
- Preparation of layout drawings for electrical equipments, cable trays, cabling.
- Generating MTO/BOM reports.
- Templates configuration for production deliverable drawing generation including part-lists.
- Performing clash checks and generating clash plot/reports.
- Updating review files and Naviswork file.
- Providing support for CAD/CAM to Yard-ERP integration process.
- Liaising with Engineering CAD/CAM Software Vendor Web Support Team.
- Conducting in-house training for departmental CAD/CAM user.
- Other responsibilities as instructed by immediate supervisor

Our client, a well known government entity based in the UAE, are recruiting for a number of technical positions. They are looking to recruit a CAD Administrator with specific experience in electrical engineering and instrumentation.

- Degree qualification (or similar) in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years experience in the marine field (Shipyard/Design Office)
- Knowledge of electrical design specs/codes/standards and familiar in interpreting basic electrical drawings in the marine industry.
- Knowledge and understanding of international shipbuilding standards.
- Proficiency with NUPAS CADMATIC is essential, knowledge of FORAN / ShipConstructor will be added advantage
