Job Description:
Capacity Planning team is responsible for ensuring the availability of optimal storage and processing capacity at all times. As a program manager, the candidate will need to understand the business growth plans and project the capacity requirement for coming years. He/she will be required to optimize the fulfillment speed and cost of network and also develop required tools / rollout amazon global tools which will help us to take the right decisions on our fulfillment network design. Considering the nature of this role, candidate is required to have the ability to think long term considering historical data and fluctuations based on the actuals. This role involves driving critical decisions with cross functional teams and senior leadership and demands strong writing and verbal communication skills along-with an ability to drive data driven discussions. He/ She should have exceptional analytical, planning and written/verbal communication skills along with preferred experience in Capacity/Inventory management.
Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with different teams with in supply chain team to understand the long term strategic and operational plans.
· Set up robust processes and tools to project long term capacity requirements as per the long term plans.
· Optimize the current/future network in order to minimize cost, maximize customer/seller experience while ensuring the availability of required capacity at all times.· Rollout amazon global tools which will help us to make decisions on our fulfillment network design.
· Connect with respective counterparts in other geographies to understand and rollout best practices from to minimize end to end supply chain losses· Utilize exceptional problem-solving and communication skills to influence business, operations and technical audiences
· Program manage and drive decision making across cross functional teams and senior leadership
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
· Candidate must be independent and flexible with solid communication skills and a strong customer focus
· Outstanding analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
· Should be able to think long term along with strong attention to detail and data oriented decisions.
· Candidate must have strong Supply Chain and Planning knowledge through work experience
· Basic understanding in SQL, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic programming skills
· Engineering Degree with 6-7 years of experience as an Operations/ Planning manager OR MBA with 3-4 years of experience as an Operations/ Planning manager.
