Employment: Full Time

Our client is one of the fastest-growing free trade zones in the UAE and home to 8,000+ active companies, is currently offering an opportunity to a professional who has the potential to provide strong insight and innovative approaches to further business development of the company.

Needs to thoroughly understand the fundamentals of marketing, business development, customer service and strategy and research and work closely with the team to drive plans to tactically promote the organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interpret financial, operational, commercial and customer insights to ensure a trading issue is fully understood and that appropriate actions are taken and constantly reviewed in order to meet the set objectives
- Build the right relationships locally and internally to promote the organization brand
- Deliver tangible and innovative trading solutions (both immediate and longer term)
- Develop, review and optimize commercial strategies and champion and sell commercial decisions
- Work with the department team to target specific ‘high value’ clients and drive the business portfolio and corporate businesses, ensuring the business is maximizing revenue
- Be credible with local governments, leading business bodies in the respective countries and engage in local and international PR activities
- Investigate commercial risks and provide mitigation plans
- Ensure increased profits and reduced losses
- Set up a proper commercial documentation methodology in lines with ISO and international trade documents benchmark
- Act as a relationship manager of the required commercial decisions
- Provide cost and benefit analysis & feasibility of all trade activities
- Ensure commercial viability of all related activities
- Lead Commercial best practices, MIS, processes, systems, etc.
- Manage internal relationships with all parties to ensure optimal performance

Requirements

- Must have a strong knowledge of Free Zone company set up.
- Both marketing and sales/business development experience in B2B industries (strategic level). Previously managed teams of at least 20 people or more.
- Minimum Bachelor Degree, preferably in Marketing or Business Administration or other relevant fields
- Have minimum 15 years of experience in the marketing and business investment field, with minimum 4 years in a similar role. Free zone experience is a must.
- At least 4 years experience within the Middle East
- Strong communication Skills English (Arabic and/or other Far East and European languages would be an advantage)
- Is a proactive, self-starter with strong commercial acumen
- Has experience of influencing senior management
- Possesses leadership qualities - ability to lead and deliver results in a highly motivated, demanding environment
- Is sharp and action orientated individual and able to sell ideas convincingly
- Has strong analytical skills with proven ability in interpreting performance trends and taking proactive action
- Be able to prove outstanding achievements in marketing and business development (with recommendations).
- Flexibility to travel
- Flexible, easily adaptable, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, needs to understand multicultural working environment
