Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Participating in the review of projects definition and new facilities description.
- Responsible for all new project conceptualisation, pre-feasibility & feasibility studies.
- Constantly reviews opportunity to develop / identify new projects to match site feedstock and monomer availability, intermediate products demand and by-products utilisation.
- Carrying-out optimisation studies, debottlenecking studies, conceptual studies and feasibility studies, leading to increased safety and profitability of the assets.
- Reviewing any process design work carried out by third parties (vendors)
- Identifying potential applications for new technologies. Evaluate and implement them in the plants if they increase safety, operation or profitability.
- Providing inputs and guidance for the overall road map and business plan of Borouge. Coordinate with production planning for better utilisation of existing and future assets in Ruwais.
- Participating in licensor meetings with different licensors & network meetings with Borealis
- Providing process support to department & project managers within Technical Group during basic engineering (FEED) and detailed engineering (EPC) phases to ensure safe and efficient progress of major and minor projects.

Requirements

- Possesses Chemical engineering bachelor's degree (12+4 years) or related field of study.
- Relevant & practical experience, out of which 10 years in the petrochemical industry
- Specific experience of at least 8 years in Olefins Technology.
- Experience in an Crackers, including background in process operations & process design.
- Well developed interpersonal, organisational, analytical, people management, team & networking skills
- Fluent in English, both written & oral
- International & multicultural oriented.
