CNC Machinist

Job description / Role

- Modify existing programs
- Assist and instruct others
- Monitor long cycle times
- Set complex jobs in a timely manner
- Implement minor and suggest major tooling changes
- Use measuring equipment and basic CMM
- Create simple programs from scratch in a timely manner
- Use 4 Jaw chucks, Centre plates, Soft jaws, Travelling and Fixed steady work
- Load varying size components into the machines competently
- Responsible in various types of threading, screw cutting, and crane lifting

Requirements

- Male, 25 to 40 years old
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or any other equivalent discipline
- Minimum of 5 years working experience as a CNC Machinist / Operator / Technician with a strong programming background
- Strong experience in a manufacturing machine shop environment, setting and operation of appropriate equipment within a turning department
- Ability to work in imperial and metric micrometers, and able to understand complex engineering drawings
- Ability to read and interpret layout and to measure sizes using precision instruments such as micrometers, height gauge, gauge block, bore gauge dial indicators
- Conversant using and reading measuring equipment, Micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges etc.
- Fanuc controls trained would be an advantage
- Excellent communication skills
- Candidates who can start immediately will be prioritized
