Job description / Role
Our client, a leading shipping business here in the Middle East, is looking for a commercial finance manager to join their dynamic team here in Dubai. Reporting to the Finance Director the successful candidate will play a key role in the business development and reporting function of the business.
Job Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Monthly performance review cycle
- Building strong client relationships.
- Client relationship management with both new and existing clients.
- Monthly financial and operation performance review to senior management with responsibility for clear understanding on the P&L, balance sheet and cash movements.
- Timely and accurate balance sheet reviews.
- Accurate budgeting and forecasting of the cash flow, P&L and balance sheet
- Management of risks and opportunities.
- Participate in senior level contract negotiation on behalf of the contract to ensure that all arrangements with the customer and suppliers offer value for money.
- Ensuring that there is full financial support for commercial decisions.
- Commercial analysis to drive cost efficiencies and revenue generation.
- Compliance with financial and commercial policies, procedures and processes, which are aligned to standards, set by the Group and managing through Audit
Requirements
- BA Honors degree in a related field
- Shipping experience is desirable but not essential
- Commercial finance experience is a key element of this role
- 5-7 years of relevant experience
- Candidates in the region are preferred
