Continued project growth has seen the need to recruit a Commercial Manager for our client’s development project. Our client is a major property real estate development firm, who is part of a major Saudi conglomerate holding firm, who have multiple high rise mixed use residential and hotel projects in Saudi Arabia valued in excess of USD2B at various stages of development and construction. As the client’s representative this role centres on managing the client’s risk and financial returns. The project is a high rise residential tower project in Riyadh and the role will commence in Dubai for 12-18 months and then when the project moves to construction phase the role will relocate to Riyadh.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, the proven performer we seek for this role will be responsible for the following:

• Commercial, cost management and contract administration of a high rise tower project.
• Development and management of a contract administration team to administer the delivery of the project.
• Management of the cost planning and management function of the projects from feasibility, to the pre and post construction phases.
• Review of contractual document to ensure compliance with program requirements and regulations.
• Preparation and letting of construction trade packages.
• Cost control of labour and materials.
• Processing of head contract progress claims and variations, and
• Preparation and finalization of final accounts.

Requirements

The attributes we seek include:

• Degree qualification in construction management, engineering or quantity surveying plus 10 years proven commercial management experience on projects valued in excess of USD$100M. Former high rise and residential experience would be highly regarded.
• At least 3 years GCC regional experience is required.
• Strong leadership abilities with high levels of energy and drive to progress projects.
• Superior communication skills and the ability to maintain a positive work environment is critical to this role.
• Computer literacy essential.
