Reporting to the Project Manager, this role forms part of the Abu Dhabi Oil & Gas team.

Key duties will include:
- Mobilise the commissioning team and establish a testing and commissioning plan;
- Plan and set up with the contractor the Commissioning tools and system & sub-system;
- Determine program objectives and requirements, organises projects and develops standards and guidelines (MCD & ITR RFCD);
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve interface problems. Oversees and ensures all construction activities are completed prior to taking up the system for commissioning and ensure the setting up of safety procedures for the same.
- Coordinates with the Commissioning Engineers and ensures the development of integrated commissioning plans including the scope of commissioning activities, duration for each, scope of inter-linked activities, resources required, constraints regarding the same, as well as availability of tools and machinery in addition to overseeing the preparation of commissioning schedules based on the quantum of job and duration for each activity as well as prioritise system completion requirements in order to steer construction completion.
- Provides guidance to the Commissioning Engineers in analysing the scope as per contract, and ensures the preparation of procedures for systematic and sequential pre commissioning/commissioning/start- up of plant.
- Ensures that all safety and precautionary requirements and procedures are followed during the commissioning process;
- Holds regular review meetings with the contractor on issues such as HSE conformance and commissioning progress as well as meetings with the vendors to resolve any equipment.
- Act as the PC&C representative (Pre-Commissioning and Startup) to facilitate the verification of work that must be complete on as particular system/subsystem through RFC (Ready For Commissioning) and RFSU (Ready For Startup) in the order that it can move on to the final handover stage;
- Coordinate with operation team to solve any conflict.
- Responsible for ensuring that all Certification, Commissioning and Handover Dossiers are complete with Construction and Commissioning to the acceptance of a system or subsystem via the RFC/RFSU certificate in completion dossier.
- Identify each completed activity on a RFC/RFSU dossier. Each RFC/RFSU will contain a subsystem or system or multiples of the same and this entire dossier together will add up to the system handover dossier, including any vendor work scope documentation ensuring that all company or vendors requirements have been met.
- Responsible for verifying all punch list clearance associated with the work scope of project activities for all disciplines, i.e. Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Piping-operations, Process prior to achieving RFC/RFSU.

Requirements

- BSc Engineering in a relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent;
- 18-25 years' experience with 10 years' minimum experience in oil/gas production, processing, petrochemicals and hydro carbon related projects;
- construction experience in live plants is essential.

It will also be beneficial for the applicant to have a Process background and previous work experience in the Gulf.
