Job description / Role
An opportunity has arisen with North Star Holdings, a well-established international shipping & trading company headquartered in Dubai.
The requirement is for an experienced Commodities Trader with minimum 5 years of experience. North Star along with its shipping activities actively engages in trading commodities. Focusing specifically on metals, scrap & raw materials, grain, vegetable oils, fuel etc. We would like the candidate to have sufficient knowledge about these products.
Requirements
- To be primarily responsible for analyzing of Trading Profit & Loss.
- Fundamental and technical analysis for physical commodities, mainly metals, scrap & raw materials, grain, vegetable oils and fuel.
- To provide trade support and ensuring positions and margins are within our specified limits of forecasting and reporting.
- To promote new suppliers and products.
- To be independent, resourceful and have the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Responsible for business developments of new clients and new products.

NSH is primarily involved in trading metals with a particular focus in scrap, strategic raw materials and also targeting vessels across all sectors for recycling in the Asian Subcontinent, Tukey & China. Other specific markets of interest include commodities and products, mainly wheat, grain, cement, fuel oils and edible oils.
