Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client, one of the leading Oil & Gas Businesses here in Dubai, is looking for an experienced HR professional to join their team in the capacity of Compensation & Benefits Supervisor.

This role will require the successful candidate to hold the following responsibilities:
- Provide support to the business in the field of compensation, benefits and payroll administration and assist the Head of Comp & Bens in various projects to deliver the team objectives
- Accurately and in a timely manner, process the monthly payroll including reimbursements and deductions
- Supervise the payroll function on a day to day basis including basic salary, leave in lieu, overtime management and applicable deductions, including employee loans
- Assist with the effective payment of employee benefits and allowances
- Liaise with the finance department for monthly payroll transfers and provide payroll reports for accounting and auditing purposes
- Ensure the HRMS system is updated with the time recording and employee data crucial for monthly payroll
- Responsible for generating all Compensation and Benefits reports for the HR department and to department managers
- Assist with the annual merit review and bonus process
- Liaise with the IT Department for system enhancements to HRMS
- Supervise employees' compliance to leave policies
- Respond to employee queries regarding Compensation and Benefit elements in a professional and timely manner
- Assist with various Compensation and Benefits projects and improvement initiatives. Draft and collate all project documentation such as project plans, task lists, presentations etc.
- Assist with the company's medical and life insurance benefits. Liaise with brokers and medical insurers as and when required with a mandate in obtaining the best possible coverage at an acceptable cost.

Requirements

- Degree in Human Resources and or relevant compensation and benefits qualifications essential
- Master's Degree in Human Resources strongly preferred
- CIPD qualification preferred
- 10+ years’ experience managing payroll through Oracle or another ERP system
- Management or supervisory experience
- Experience of working in a multicultural environment
- Detailed understanding of UAE Labour Law
- Excellent communication skills, fluent written and spoken English
- Accuracy with large volumes of figures and data
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Cost awareness
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Strong internal drive & motivation
- Advanced MS Excel; spreadsheets, complex formulas, pivot tables etc.
- Upstream oil&gas experience is strongly preferred
- Previous experience in a similar capacity
