Compliance Manager

Adept personnel are pleased to be recruiting for an internationally renowned company from East Asia. This position is based in the company’s Abu Dhabi – Middle East Regional Office

The purpose of this position is to implement, administer and oversee an effective regional compliance program to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct, ensuring that the Company complies with regulatory and legal requirements and the organisation’s internal policies and procedures. In this position the candidate will be required to engage in frequent travel to fulfil their duties on project sites across the MENA region.

Requirements

- University Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Business
- Financial Accounting – CPA Qualification (Certified Public Accountant)
- Law degree is an advantage
- A minimum of 7-10 years experience of Proven track record in a Compliance / Audit role preferably within the EPC / heavy industry in an Multi National Corporation environment
- Audit staff experience with large Multi National Corporation is preferred
- Middle East experience is preferred

- Sufficient passport or personal qualification of entry into countries in MENA region
- Possess excellent communication and commercial skills, and be a real team player with the ability to relate to colleagues at all levels and foster a team environment
- A real self-starter who is well organised and displays personal drive and be able to work on own initiative
- Attention to detail is critical with the ability to 'close the deal'
- Negotiation and Influencing skills along with the ability to work under pressure are a must to be a success in this role
- The incumbent must be resilient and have the ability to adapt and deliver in a fast paced environment
- Patient and have the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels
