Employment: Full Time

Reporting to the Head of Compliance (EMEA), the client is looking for a Compliance Manager to support their Asset Management business in Dubai. It will be part of a dynamic environment and include certain corporate officer tasks, such as support on SCA fund applications and DFSA related engagement.

Description

* Provide advice, support and training to employees in Dubai on compliance and conduct of business policies, procedures and on resolving compliance issues
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant asset management regulations and laws in order to effectively manage compliance risks
* Develop and amend compliance policies, procedures and manuals in line with evolving legal and regulatory requirements
* Conduct compliance risk assessments, design the compliance monitoring plan
* Perform compliance testing and monitoring reviews and follow-up on action points and recommendations
* Identify regulatory changes, conduct impact assessments and support the implementation of new regulations
* Contribute to relevant compliance reports and management information packs
* Assist in responding to requests from external parties on regulatory and compliance matters
* Certain corporate officer tasks will also be part of the role

Requirements

* 3+ years of experience in compliance, internal audit, operational risk, consulting or similar experience in the financial services industry
* Good knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering / Counter-Terrorist Financing (AML/CTF) regulations
* A solid knowledge of the business model of an asset management company
* A solid knowledge of the applicable legal and regulatory regimes in the UAE and the broader GCC region, in particular with respect to cross-border distribution
* A solid knowledge of DFSA regulations
* Experience/interaction with different regulators in Dubai
* Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
* Strong values and ethical standards
* University business related or law degree plus appropriate professional or post-graduate qualifications
