Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Compliance Officer & Permanent Control (UAE)

- Analyzing and measuring requirements to implement the appropriate regulations and international best practice on compliance & Permanent Control issues.
- Provide timely and accurate compliance advise in relation with regulatory and code of conduct requirements.
- Work closely with each department by receiving self-assessment reports and providing them updates on new regulatory requirements.
- Identification, analysis and implementation of risk based Know Your Customer (KYC) and Due Diligence Standards requirements as per Central Bank
- Identification and direction on Know Your Transaction standards for cash transactions, SWIFT wire transfers, manager’s cheques, clearing transactions
- Making recommendations to the Head of Compliance & Permanent Control for filing suspicious transaction report (STR) filed with the Financial Intelligence Unit of the Central Bank (AMLSCU).
- Implementation of Record Keeping and Documentation requirements of CBUAE.
- Approve in coordination with the Head of Compliance & Permanent Control policies, products, processes, media announcement, forms, website etc. from compliance & AML perspective.
- Conducting compliance & Permanent Control monitoring and testing based on assessed risk of the business / operations unit.
- Raising the reports and co-coordinating with the responsible departments to get responses.
- Liaise with the IT department for system integration of KYC /AML requirements.
- Interacting with the regulators and circulating the incoming correspondence from regulators within relevant departments
- Maintaining relevant registers for applicable laws, regulations and Compliance & Internal Control Standards.

Requirements

- Graduation / Post graduation in Law or Economics or Business Administration.
- At least three years’ experience in Compliance related roles in a reputed financial institution.
- Knowledge of relevant material laws, rules and regulations, good knowledge of banking, preparation of monitoring reports.
- Team Player, strong time management skills and can handle pressure
- Must be an Arabic speaker
