Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

He reports to the Site Manager, or to CTM, when present.

He is the first interface for managing subcontract sat Site, ensuring that their terms and conditions are properly interpreted and applied.

Additionally, he organizes the documentation necessary for contracts modifications and final settlement with the Subcontractors.

His main responsibilities are:
- To interpret and explain contractual clauses;
- To provide the certification required by contract for signature by the contractual representatives;
- To check that contractual obligations are absolved by Client and Subcontractors;
- To check the expected final cost estimates against budget values;
- To check Subcontractors’ Work Progress Status sheets prior to approval by the Site Manager;
- To prepare for the Site Manager’s signature the Works Progress Status sheets for presentation to Client;

Requirements

- Together with the Supervisors, to discuss and where possible reach an agreement with the Subcontractor concerning new prices, contractual amendments and claims, preparing the supporting documents for formal issue by Home Office Subcontracts Unit (APPAL);
- To prepare, in collaboration with the Construction Manager, for the Site Manager’s signature, the Field change orders and claims to be dispatched to Client;
- To prepare the documents for the award of local subcontracts;
- To prepare his section of the construction monthly progress report.

In performing his activities he may be supported by a Contract Assistant (CTA)
