Job description / Role
Reports to the Construction Contract Engineer. He is responsible for local purchases of materials and for expediting the delivery of the same.
Main responsibilities are:
- To carry out market surveys;
- To call for bids and prepare the related commercial tabulations;
- To follow the supply until the related material is delivered to site.
Requirements
In performing his tasks, the Field Buyer’s chief interlocutor at site is the Contract Engineer and at Head Office the Procurement Coordinator.
