Job description / Role

Newly awarded Mega Watt Data Center to outskirts of Abu Dhabi.

Tier 1 Main Contractor requires a strong Construction Manager to sit on a Mega Watt Data Center to the outskirts of Abu Dhabi. Do you have Main Contractor experience in the GCC on a new D/C facility?

The right person will be client facing and possess strong communication skills with an eye for detail.

The Project Director has tasked us with engaging strong Construction Managers capable of the need they have.

This construction manager will be looking after the CSA element on site. Working alongside an MEP Construction Manager you will ensure that all handovers, commissioning and integration happen seamlessly.

You will have prior Data experience. You will understand the pitfalls and hurdles that occur delivering such a project for a major Tech Client! You will have a track record of fitting out & completing data halls. Ensure all Structural elements and sub-contractor workmanship is sound and up to the quality standards as per the contract. You will take the following under your remit: External Envelope, Fit Out Package, Security Systems, Common Areas & Mission Critical Aspects on site.

About the role

The project is operating an 11-day fortnight. So, you will work 5 days with a 2-day weekend followed by a 6-day week with a 1-day weekend. This is common practice for those in the GCC but for those entertaining the first move please note the environment. With summer fast approaching split shifts be that day and night are common practice.

Our client is after someone to roll the sleeves up and muck in amongst the senior leadership team on site.

• The preference is for a single status posting when relocating an expat.
• Unless you are currently based in the UAE with family.
• The client will pay a lump sum AED monthly package that will range from 35-42,000 AED Per Month depending upon experience and capability. You will then be provided 1 Annual flight home and medical.

Please note this isn’t a HARDSHIP posting so there is no rotation. You make you annual leave work like all employees within the group.

Salary:
AED 35,000 to 42,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
Additional benefits: Plus flights & medical

Requirements

What the client wants

• Major Build Experience on 500 million AED Design & Build Projects
• Degree Educated or a solid trades background that shows progression into Site / Construction Management
• Career history shows loyalty and success. Not 5 job moves in 7 Years thank you!
• Have strong communication skills that will be demonstrated though the hiring process. That means from the first introduction e-mail.
• Clear Buildings Experience for Main Contractors we and our client deem as Tier 1
• At least 1 Data Center Project – minimum.

You must be able to start employment before the 27th of May 2024 absolute latest as per the client request.
