Job description / Role
Provide high quality of care to all emergency patients in accordance with hospital policy and procedure. Highly trained in modern aspects of emergency practice and utilize in the best advantage of ER Department function.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as a physician in-charge during clinical shift and supervise ER junior physicians and medical staff assigned in ER to ensure that their assigned duties and responsibilities satisfactorily discharge.
- Assesses and refers ER patients under his/her care to appropriate speciality in accordance with the hospital policy and procedures.
- Act in a consultative capacity to ER physicians and undertake direct patient consulting duties when required to provide optimal patient care.
- Establish and maintain professional standards for quality patient care in ER.
- Introduce and maintain effective on-going educational in-service program for ER staff while ensuring continuity of patient care.
- Supervise the overall smooth and effective function of the department.
- Participates in the department's administrative duties and perform other tasks or duties within the context of the position.
- Complies with the standards and regulations outlined in the Medical Staff By-laws.
Requirements
- Western qualification is a must: USA Board, Canadian Board, or UK CCT.
- Age below 55 years.
- Preferably with MOH license or in the process.
