Job Description & Summary

BU Competency
Within Consulting, you will be working with Finance Function Effectiveness competency, which provides advisory services focused on CFO agenda like

- Finance operating model and finance transformation
- Strategic planning, financial planning, budgeting and reporting
- Corporate treasury and cash management
- Public Financial Management, including Treasury Single Account, GFMIS and Cash2Accrual
- Effective financial control, reporting and consolidation
- Shared services finance and transactional efficiencies
- Robotic Process Automation
- Costing and Cost Optimization Opportunities
- Leveraging Cloud / On Premise ERP, Treasury, EPM and Digital technologies
- Supporting adoption of new accounting standards (eg. IFRS)

Telecom / Media / Technology Industry Sector Alignment
We expect you to have a thorough understanding of Telecom, Media and Technology (TMT) industry trends and how it impacts finance function. In particular, we would like you to bring in depth understanding of the following:

- TMT Products and Services
- Knowledge of CRM / Order Management to Provisioning to Billing and its integration with Revenue Accounting in context of IFRS15
- Knowledge of FP&A processes and key drivers for Planning / Budgeting and Forecasting
- Business Finance roles like development of business cases
- Costing in telecoms (fully allocated costing, marginal costing, economic costing and regulatory costing)
- Knowledge of and overall trends in operational finance and how digital is driving changes to operational finance
- Revenue assurance and Billing assurance
- Knowledge of eTOM framework, especially in Finance Context

Responsibilities
As a Senior Associate, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Lead and deliver a diverse range of finance transformation projects covering Finance Policies and Procedures, Financial Planning and Budgeting, Chart of Account design, Period Close, Financial Reporting, Corporate Treasury, Management Reporting, Quality Assurance in ERP enablement
- Provide finance and treasury transformation expertise especially in the context of Oracle EBS and Oracle Fusion Financials platform
- Identify business leads, develop proposals and work with local Partners, Directors and Senior Managers to grow the Finance Consulting business unit, ensuring that all relevant opportunities to assist clients are identified and optimised.
- Oversee the setting of project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards; working with team members to define business requirements and plan the activities for specific projects and work streams within projects
- Monitor project budgets and prepare regular status reports for stakeholders.
- Remain up-to-date on industry and market trends and recognise the impact of these on our clients, and consequently how you can help shape their thinking and our success in the market.
- Support the development and growth of the Middle East-based Finance Consulting team, through engaged mentoring and coaching of junior team members; performance evaluations and development plan discussions; ensuring local team utilisation; and identifying future people needs and driving local recruitment efforts as required.
- Advise clients on strategic finance-related matters and design solutions that can help transform clients' finance functions.
- Assist in creating and presenting winning proposals to support our clients in the Middle East.
- Lead knowledge building and sharing, using knowledge management methodologies, techniques, and processes.
- Coordinate with others to utilise learning and development tools and techniques to analyse, identify and communicate requirements for change.
- Whilst working in the Finance Consulting team you will work collaboratively with colleagues from the broader Consulting Team and other Lines of Service, in order to shape the future of our clients and to bring about positive change. You will have access to all of the latest training and development tools and the support of the wider PwC network.

Requirements

Preferred skills
- You will be achievement oriented with the ability to be flexible and adaptive on a daily basis. You will be able to manage multiple work-streams in parallel and full projects, whilst demonstrating strong leadership skills to engage diverse internal and external stakeholders and manage a high-performing team.
- Expertise in and experience in Telecom / Media / Technology consulting is mandatory
- Client-focused approach
- Self-motivated and confident, with a strong work ethic.
- Knowledge and experience of at least 2 sectors among Public Sector, Telecoms, Industrial Products, Oil-Gas and Utilities sector is required.
- Interest and passion for developing, growing and leading a team through coaching and mentoring, as well as proactive knowledge sharing.
- Experience of driving and reporting on progress of large transformation projects.
- Excellent organisational skills, having the ability to prioritise workload whilst being resilient and being able to cope well under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
- Proven IT skills in the following programs Microsoft Project, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Language Skills: Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Fluency in English is essential and Bilingual skills in Arabic language will be an added advantage
- The ability and willingness to travel within the Middle East and worldwide where the project requirement dictate.

Minimum years experience required
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar role, out of which a minimum of 3 years must be within consulting focus on finance transformation and broader finance consulting.

Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant subject such as Finance, Accounting and a professional certification like ACCA, CA, CPA, CIMA or CMA; OR MBA or Masters in Finance, with or without professional certification
