Employment: Full Time

The Content Coordinator is responsible for the ongoing development of content used primarily in websites – including the editing of content for the University’s homepage, department websites, images and photography.

The Content Coordinator develops English?language content for online and print productions including newsletters, press releases and internal memos and communications.

- Works under the supervision of Sr. Specialist Media, to create content for University Website.
- Works closely with the Office of the President, dean’s office and department chairs to identify, heads of research centers and others to cultivate and develop high profile stories and narratives that are strategic to the University.
- Writes or reformats documents for placement on university Web or social media sites.
- Manages KUPulse, a newsletter that includes content distributed directly to the University’s global distribution with the intention to build academic reputations and impact scoring of global surveys.
- Oversees content on the University’s website, adds and improves overall content, and ensures the University’s website is optimized for ranking surveys.
- Develops contacts with ranking organizations and regularly submits content by way of articles, developing story ideas, and placing content into global publications.
- Produces written content for online & print applications, including newsletters, press releases,and high profile brochures.
- Manages the English and Arabic versions of the University website developing content to a high standard
- Evaluates the success of web work, including setting key performance indicators, monitoring visitor statistics, feedback and participation.
- Works with colleagues at all levels across the university to provide timely and effective content for websites, dept. brochures and other mediums requiring professionally written content with a strong sense of journalism, synthesis of written content and relevant interviewing skills to extract relevant information.
- Contributes to the successful delivery of key university messages and advise colleagues on the best use of online communications Performs other similar or related duties as and when assigned by the direct manager.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in English, Media Studies, Journalism, Communications.
- A Minimum 2 ? 4 year’s relevant experience, preferably in higher education.
- Previous experience managing dynamic websites and producing written content.
