Continued projects for our client has created this new opportunity for a Contract Administrator to join our client’s firm; who is a UAE based property development firm, to direct and manage the pre and post contract quantity surveying and administration of the construction of a 1M sq. ft. GFA high rise twin tower project that is mixed use hospitality residential and retail. This role is responsible for to drive the quantity surveying and contract administration of this project from concept design, to detailed design, construction and handover. The project is responsible for the contract administration of a high rise tower project in Abu Dhabi.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager; the responsibilities for this role include:
- Cost management and contract administration of a scope of works comprising high rise mixed use towers.
- Management of the cost planning and management function of the projects from feasibility, to the pre and post construction phases.
- Review of contractual documents to ensure compliance with program requirements and regulations.
- Preparation and letting of construction trade packages.
- Cost control of labour and materials.
- Processing of head contract progress claims and variations, and
- Preparation and finalization of final accounts.
Requirements
- Degree qualification in construction management, engineering or quantity surveying plus 7+ years proven contract administration / quantity surveying experience with Middle East experience being highly regarded.
- Strong leadership abilities with high levels of energy and drive to progress projects.
- Superior communication skills and the ability to maintain a positive work environment is critical to this role.
- Candidates must possess experience on the client side as a Contract Administrator although consultancy exposure are desirable.
