UNIQUA Consulting GmbH is recruiting for one of its clients - a SWISS Corporate Service Office for its offices at Dubai a reliable and motivated,

Controller/Accountant - Dubai (English and Portuguese Speaking)

The Corporate Service Office comprises an existing Team of Specialists active in the Finance sector with competence centers in IT, Legal, Marketing, Finance and Human Resources. The ideal candidate for this role is an independent, hands-on personality, with an ability to think out of the box! The successful candidate will be based in Dubai and report to the Finance Controller in Switzerland. The role requires international travel of upto 20%.

Duties and responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly/interim/annual financial statements and coordination of statutory and internal audits.
- Preparation and review of Accounts and Payroll for Dubai Entities.
- Preparation of budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents.
- Control of Subsidiaries based in UAE and Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Production of timely and accurate management information on a monthly, quarterly & annual basis to management.
- Preparation of financial plans (budgets/forecasts) for respective projects.
- Assist Finance Controller in Switzerland with ad-hoc projects along with other administrative tasks.

Requirements

- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position in an international, dynamic environment.
- University degree or an MBA in Finance or Economics discipline. Accounting Professional Certification is an advantage.
- Good understanding of cash flow procedures.
- Strong accounting and finance background with demonstrated track record in budgeting, reporting and forecasting.
- Excellent skills in prioritizing, planning, analyzing and coordinating activities.
- Good knowledge in principles of accounting.
- A team player with ability to work under deadlines, multi-task and complete projects on a timely basis.
- Good skills in MS Office (in particular Excel) and reporting tools including, knowledge in ERP or Accounting softwares.
- Fluency in English and Portuguese languages a must have.
